[ET Net News Agency, 19 November 2024] Full-day turnover of Hong Kong stocks was
HK$121.98 billion, with short-sales accounting for HK$18.54 billion, or 15.2% of the
market's turnover. There were 659 short-selling stocks. XIAOMI-W (01810) and CSOP HS TECH
(03033) saw higher value of short sales, accounting for HK$1.28 billion and HK$1.12
billion, or 6.88% and 6.04% of the total short sales value respectively. The transactions
represented 21.6% and 31.13% of respective stock's turnover.
MEITUAN-W (03690) and HSCEI ETF (02828) registered HK$992.29 million and HK$920.81
million of short sales, accounting for 5.35% and 4.97% of the total short sales values
respectively. The transactions represented 22.39% and 19.58% of respective stock's
turnover.
XIAOMI-W closed down HK$0.5, or 1.74%, to HK$28.3. CSOP HS TECH ended up HK$0.05, or
1.17%, to HK$4.316. MEITUAN-W rose HK$2.9, or 1.72% to HK$171.9. HSCEI ETF jumped HK$0.28,
or 0.39%, to HK$72.28.
